Tom Leahy

Age: 44

Height: 6'4"

Born: Harrisburg Pa; raised: Rockville, MD

Colleges: St. Joseph's University, University of Maryland

Occupation: Economist

Personal:  Relative to his peers, Tom peaked athletically by the age of 10, this relative decline caused mostly by injuries. Having medaled in long jumps and sprints and starring defensively in baseball and football in his early years, Tom pretty much turned his back on organized sports for several years in favor of more intellectual pursuits. Co-founding the satirical Robert E. Peary "Varsity" Crouquet Team, bowling to avoid phys ed, and captaining the "It's Academic" team highlighted his competitive HS career. From there it was off to Hawk Hill where a return to real sports awaited in the form of intramurals. By this time, his skills (such as they were) had rusted to the point of being almost useless.  Tom then embarked on a short-lived career with the Navy (civilian side) then returned to Academia. A government economist since 1990, Tom helps to keep the futures markets safe from the excesses of brute capitalism, or something like that. More importantly, Tom continues to use much of his free time to improve his golf game.
